Summer is on its way, now is one of the best times to see Zion National Park. If you haven’t already head out and take in the stunning scenery before it gets to hot. If you can’t get out before the heat, you might want to try a Zion Jeep Tour, an alternative to hiking in the 110+ degree weather. Their shaded tour jeeps provide all the comfort you need to experience the Zion area all year long.

There is a lot to see in Zion National Park, one must make sure to see the best Zion has to offer. One thing every traveler must see is Weeping Rock, were it rains year round. Due to pores in the overhanging rock water leaks through the rocks year round making the area “rain” continuously and giving the area a lush and flourishing variety of plant life. Take your family along the trail and stop and read the signs identifying the different native flora found in the area. This is one attraction you do not want to miss.

Another reason to visit Zion National Park this year is to see the illusive Bitterroot flower, a rare find in Zion National Park. One blog post http://www.canyoneeringcentral.com/rave/hunting-the-elusive-bitterroot-kolob-terrace-april-2012/ says they found one on the subway hike. By the end of the hike Tom Jones stated he had seen three species that were rare to him. Best to get out there and see the flowers before the long dry summer begins.
